The Early Years and Childcare team provides limited funding support to childcare providers and assistance to help with applications to other sources of financial support.
Two separate funds will be available to March 2007:
▪ Childcare Strategy Fund
▪ Workforce Development Fund
Access to funding
We administer these funds to ensure access for parents to high quality, affordable childcare and assist providers with improvements to facilities, equipment or the development of their childcare provision.
The funding is allocated for:
▪ Development and expansion
▪ Support networks
▪ Support for existing SIP-based childcare
▪ Inclusion
▪ One-off emergency payments
▪ Matched funding for application to other funds
