As part of the Edinburgh Childcare Strategy, we work with local and national authorities across many areas of consultation, research and funding administration. Our role is to ensure that childcare providers and workers have a voice at a strategic level in addition to providing the support they need to deliver a high quality service.
Supporting the sector + parents
The Early Years and Childcare Team has a wide remit: our team provides information to parents seeking quality childcare, but we also support the sector directly via specialist advice and support, funding opportunities and training programmes.
The Childcare Information Service provides detailed advice and information about childcare and early education in Edinburgh, offering a valuable resource for parents who need to know more about of the options available to them.
We also work with childcare providers to provide a range of assistance in the form of training, administration of funding opportunities, and as a voice in the strategic development of childcare in Edinburgh.
