Workforce development is important for any business sector - it's about getting the right people with the right skills into the right roles.
Changing approach
Until recently, our approach to workforce development focused on providing education and training programs to underpin service delivery.
However in recognising the need for a more strategic approach and broader support for the sector, we have worked with numerous childcare groups to produce the Workforce Development Strategy as a way forward.
Workforce Development Strategy
The Workforce Development Strategy expands the scope of our remit in supporting childcare in Edinburgh. The Strategy will focus on the key areas of:
